MY PEACE I GIVE YOU."Not as the world gives it."

The whole world wants peace and is working hard for peace.The world is constantly crying “peace, peace.” But there is no peace. Because there is only one kind of true peace and this is peace of Christ, which Christ alone can give.
The kind of peace people in the world are asking from God is usually the wrong kind of peace, which God would never give. This is the peace to enjoy their lives and their sins, the peace that will make them pursue the things of the fleash and the world undisturbed. To ask for such wordliness is even a sin for Scriptures has it; “Friendship with the world is enmity with God.”
Christ would give His disciples His own peace, which the world can never give. This peace is a reward for discipleship, it is given only to those who had followed Christ to His cross and to His Tomb.
During His active Ministry, Christ was so busy one gets the impression He was in a hurry to accomplish a mission and indeed He was. There was only one moment wherewith Christ was at peace, when he was dead in the tomb. That is the peace that Christ promised His disciples. A peace after they had followed Him from His cradle to the cross. It is not given to others. That peace, which is the peace of death in the tomb, but with Christ, is the peace that makes a soul eventually resurrect with Christ. This peace is symbolized by the Sabbath, which Catholics commemorates on Sundays and is commonly referred to as the ““Day of rest” Sunday reminds us that we should all die with Christ and be buried with Him in the tomb. For only in this way shall we resurrect with Christ. It os being with Christ in the tomb that gives us peace because this is the assurance that we shall resurrect with Christ.
