A BROTHERHOOD AND FELLOWSHIP

Gone are the days when ordinary folks looked up to “men in uniform” as people of prestige, bravery and honor. This positive impression being looked up to with great pride and admiration has been tainted with the human syndrome of selfishness, greed and vice. Thus, prejudice oftentimes is an added tension. Relationship of mistrust and suspicion created an unhealthy and unchristian attitude towards our leaders; military, civic and religious. With this scenario, a paradigm shift is inevitable to building up this brotherhood and fellowship in order to be more effective in serving our people.

This modest attempt of fellowship and brotherhood is anchored in our spiritual and cherished values of “pakikisama, pananagotan, pagpangalagad”. But more important also is the realization to concretize our action through the integration process of our whole being. As the old dictum states: “Action follows being.” Creating a venue for us servant leaders is our way of getting familiar with one another and hopefully develops a fellowship build on trust, respect, care, responsible stewardship and service.

A positive attitude of tolerance of our weaknesses and the organization (financial & logistics) will open the way to a better understanding and cooperation , healing anf conversion/ This awareness coming from within, listening to the tiny voice of conscience will eventually make each of us better persons and better public servants. Mutual support and concern will develop that will ensure the needs anf problems of the individual and the community will be properly addressed, with the greater participation of the LGU’s, PO’s (Peoples Organization), civic, and religious organizations.

In a prayerful atmosphere and guidance we entrust ourselves in the loving arms of God, knowing that our “Father in heaven” will provide for our daily needs (peace and security), and wll give us our daily bread:” of hope, love and justice.
